Cherry Cobbler Muffins

We had some cherries in the fridge that were starting to go bad. So I decided to make something tasty. I found this recipe, but used the fresh cherries instead of canned pie filling.



The recipe calls for mixing the pie filling into the batter. Instead I filled the cups partially and then put in the cherries and then covered them with the rest of the batter.




They turned out sooo tasty. The best part is the yummy cherry surprise in the center!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Ok, so my birthday isn't actually until tomorrow, but we had a little party at my parents house over the weekend.

Saturday we hung out at Melissa's. The plan was to go swimming but it was overcast so we just hung out in the backyard.





I got this super cute picture of my niece Isabella!


The girls had a little picnic inside together.


Sunday we hung out at my parents house.



Aubrey did some coloring with Grandma





Then we had some delicious cake made by my sister Willow!



The spoils: Knitting book, yarn and chocolate. Awesome!

I got my cute little monster all done! I love this pattern and I want to make a little mini one out of sock yarn now.

Tuppy Von Monster

Ok. Jumping back in here with both feet.

I have been working on and off on a few different projects. My current favorite is Tuppy Von Monster by Elli Stubenrauch (rav link)

Here is my version in progress.



I didn't have any plastic eyes in the house. So I used some black buttons instead. I think the are pretty dang adorable actually. I still have to do a mouth, some legs and arms, horns and wings and teeth made of felt. But I really like how it is coming along.

I have a couple other projects I need to take pictures of. But my sun went behind the clouds and I really don't feel like tangling with crappy lighting in my house.
